We leave Aveiro, “the city of the canals” and we enter the Portuguese rural countryside. The first major climb of our long ride is the Caramulo Pass (902 mts) and we will visit the town of the same name, famous resort for respiratory problems patients.

In the long descent we see in the distance the Estrela range, in which outskirts we find Seia where we will take a break at the end of the stage.
